BEYOND ADVOCACY: CLINICAL AND EXECUTIVE PARTNERSHIP

Since 2022, NSSC has scaled from a grassroots collective to a high-impact network of 31 State Directors—a 3,100% increase in regional leadership. We have moved beyond simple awareness and into constructive, systemic partnership.

Our Directors represent a highly qualified network of Biotech CEOs, Corporate Executives, Board-Certified Clinicians, and Governor-Appointed Policy Leaders who bring both professional mastery and the lived experience of navigating severe mental illness. This unique combination equips them to build meaningful consensus, bridge systemic gaps, and help improve the status quo.

Today, we are professionalizing our infrastructure to ensure these high-caliber leaders have the organizational resources, strategic assets, and executive standing required to engage productively at the highest levels of state government and advance lasting care reforms.

A Window for Systemic Change

As the national challenges of ER boarding and the incarceration of those living with Severe Mental Illness become impossible to ignore, NSSC is prepared to provide the strategic frameworks and evidence-based resources required to build a more responsive care system.

This is our moment to prioritize treatment over systemic isolation.
The Engagement NSSC leaders are dedicated subject matter experts prepared to brief policymakers, legal stakeholders, and clinical leadership on the collaborative frameworks required to advance care reform.
The Asset We are equipping our State Directors with the professional resources required to present clear, credible data and foster clinical accountability in state houses across America.
The Mission Connecting the professional mastery of Biotech CEOs and Clinicians with the regional infrastructure needed to bridge the gap between fragmented services and a National Standard of Care.

SUPPORT THE SYSTEM. INVEST IN THE EXPERTS.

No family should have to navigate a psychiatric crisis in isolation. For too long, systemic gaps have forced families to manage a fragmented and complex system entirely on their own.

Your investment ensures that NSSC is present where communities, systems, and policies intersect. By supporting our State Directors, you are equipping trusted local leaders to provide education, connect families with resources, elevate lived experience, and engage with community and government partners to improve the systems of care surrounding severe mental illness.

Together, we are growing our 1,150+ member coalition into a 50-state network dedicated to education, support, advocacy, and meaningful change.
