A family member directly impacted by serious mental illness, Lynda has dedicated her work to advancing systemic reform across the Commonwealth and beyond.
Strategic Leadership & Crisis Reform Prior to her leadership at NSSC, Lynda served on the National Board of NAMI (2009–2012), where she chaired critical policy initiatives focused on early intervention strategies. Following her national tenure, she served as President of the Board of Directors for NAMI Massachusetts (2012–2013). During this period, Lynda was also a member of the Massachusetts Governor’s Mental Health Advisory Council, where she played a key role in advancing the state’s Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) initiative. Her work was instrumental in building the initial partnerships between law enforcement and the mental health community that remain vital to the state's diversion efforts today. Innovation in Communication An innovative communicator, she created the “99 Faces Project,” a groundbreaking exhibition at the Museum of Science that used art and neuroscience to challenge stigma. Her leadership is informed by more than 25 years as a senior executive in financial services and her work as an Adjunct Professor at Boston College. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital. |
