OUR NORTH CAROLINA
POLICY DIRECTOR

Meet BETH WALLACE

CONTACT BETH
Beth serves as the North Carolina Policy Director and Education Coordinator for the National Shattering Silence Coalition, where she works to reform systems that fail individuals with severe mental illness. She leads statewide efforts focused on legislative advocacy, treatment access, and family inclusion—ensuring that people too ill to seek help are not left behind.

With a background in strategic marketing and business growth, Beth brings a sharp focus on outcomes and clarity to everything she builds. Through her firm, Open Doors, she has led campaigns that connect mission to message—and message to measurable action. Now, she applies that same mindset to advocacy: equipping families, engaging legislators, and developing practical tools that help others navigate a broken mental health system.

Her work bridges the gap between policy, communication, and real-world solutions—amplifying voices that are often ignored and helping shape a more responsive and accountable system of care.
