Kathy Pittman serves as Co-Director of the Texas Chapter for the National Shattering Silence Coalition (NSSC). Her dedication to mental health advocacy is rooted in more than two decades of supporting a loved one living with severe mental illness, giving her firsthand insight into the challenges families face when navigating the behavioral health system.

Combining her lived experience with a successful career in business development, Kathy is committed to reducing stigma, strengthening family engagement, and advocating for timely access to compassionate, evidence-based treatment and a full continuum of care. She is passionate about empowering families through education, connection, and advocacy while helping elevate the voices of those impacted by severe mental illness.

As Texas Co-Director, Kathy works to expand awareness, build community partnerships, support grassroots advocacy, and advance policies that improve outcomes for individuals living with severe mental illness and the families who love and care for them.
